How do I get certified?

There are four different certifications available within the TYPO3 ecosystem. TYPO3 Certified Consultant, Editor, Integrator and Developer. Each certification is designed to help you demonstrate your knowledge and understanding within each of the four disciplines.

This guide contains information on each of the steps needed to register, purchase and take an exam.

You'll need a My TYPO3 account

If you don't have an account, you can also register for an account here:

Using the dashboard

Once logged in, you will see a list of all your active certifications, including the date they were awarded and when they are set to expire.

From the dashboard, you can also see any upcoming certifications you have scheduled.

Purchase the Certification Bundle or access to a one-time exam

If you haven’t purchased the Certification Bundle or access to a single, one-time exam, you can do so by visiting the Certification page on My TYPO3.

The Certification Bundle allows you to sit the certification exam for all four disciplines, either remotely or on site at certain TYPO3 events.

Go to My TYPO3 Certifications

Prepare your computer for the exam

You will need to use your own computer when taking the exam both remotely and in person.

Check that your machine meets the minimum system requirements and that the required changes to your system settings have been made for Windows and macOS.

Choose where to take your exam

Once you have access to the Bundle or a single, one-time exam, you will then need to decide where you take the exam.

This can be online, via a proctored exam at a date and time of your choosing. Or at selected TYPO3 events that take place over the course of each year.
